I really need this fixed cause i need it for my exams?! Please?

my 3 dongle decided today it wont connect to the internet anymore, wi i a message coming up saying 'connection attempt failed' this is the second day its not been working and i need it for my internet access for my exams. Is it possible it is because it is seeing it as a dial up connection? If so how can i fix this? Any other advice or help would be greatly appreciated as i really need this fixed
