Why have all my games in FB stopped loading?

I ply games on Facebook. Always have. I have been able to load my games fully, and play them, even though I have dial-up internet. Now, all of a sudden, no games will load completely. I have the latest Flash Player update. But it does tell me in my 'downloaded program files' that my ActiveX control is damaged. Is this why my games have stopped loading? And how do I fix it? I run Windows XP, and IE8. Although I also tried Google Chrome as well, and games won't play in that browser either. Please help. This is driving me nuts! Thanks in advance for any and all advice.
